Description
My nucs are split from my best-performing beehives and will be ready around late May to mid-June, depending on the weather.
You will get 5 frames total and a laying young queen – 3 frames of brood and 2 frames of honey.
Each nuc is treated against varroa mites with oxalic acid.
The queen comes from my 15+ year breeding program for honey production and winter hardiness.
The queens I breed are easy to work with but still have some defensive behavior in harsh conditions such as hunger and cold.
I find the defensive traits essential for honeybee disease resistance and colony survival in the upstate NY climate.
